The 36th Joint Conference on Communications and Information (JCCI 2026) was held from April 15 to 17, 2026, at the Ocean Resort in Yeosu, Korea. Organized by the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS), the conference brought together researchers from academia, research institutes, and industry to present recent advances and discuss future directions in communications and information technology. Topics covered a broad range of areas, including 5G/6G, ICT convergence, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing.
WSL members presented research spanning several emerging topics, including low-complexity direction-of-arrival estimation using a Rydberg atomic receiver, efficient FFT implementation for AFDM modulation, digital-twin-aided radio point cloud sensing, and traffic-prediction-based network energy saving. These presentations reflect WSL’s ongoing research efforts in next-generation waveforms, intelligent sensing, and energy-efficient wireless networks.
The conference provided a valuable opportunity for WSL members to exchange ideas with researchers across academia, industry, and research institutes, share their latest work, and gain insights into emerging trends in next-generation communication and sensing technologies.
